So Louisiana Lt. Governor Mitch Landrieu announced his candidacy for Mayor of New Orleans 2010. Reason enough for the Lounge to have a first look his campaign web page, www.mitchformayor.com.

First impression: clean and empty (this is on December 11, 2009). We take it that the site will offer more content as the campaign progresses, but still the question remains: If you know you’re going to announce, why not have a little more information available on your site? For example, how about issue positions, or some details about policy goals and how to achieve them. Or is that in fact an indication that Mr. Landrieu really made the decision to run last minute? Other than that, we like the clean layout of the site; it is clearly structured with the video message header, the signup & donation links right there, followed the three main content sections.
